But this drive often comes from a place of insecurity and lack of self-esteem. Our capitalist society fuels this by promising that consumption and achievement will make us happy and satisfied. But Buddhism teaches this only leads to more craving. If you relate to this tendency, you may have an Achiever personality type. Achievers fear being worthless without external accomplishments. Take time for self-reflection - your worth doesn't depend on what you achieve. Focus on self-acceptance rather than seeking validation through ambitious goals. Fulfillment comes from within.
